Problems

The global water crisis is a pressing issue affecting billions of people worldwide. Despite the abundance of water on our planet, nearly 2 billion individuals lack access to safe drinking water, leading to severe health problems, economic challenges, and social inequalities.

Ensuring clean and safe drinking water is not just a necessity for survival but also a fundamental human right that must be upheld for future generations.

WATER POLLUTION

Urbanisation, population explosion, agriculture and uncontrolled discharge of wastewaterinto rivers and lakes are the main causes of increasing surface water pollution. Withincreasing industrialisation in the region, more and more polluting wastes and by-productsare produced and released into the environment, affecting local ecosystems and humanhealth

TREATMENT AND RESOURCE DEPLETION

Outdated water treatment methods at many water treatment plants cannot cope with modern pollutants. This results in residents receiving poor quality drinking water. The increasing demand for fresh water and the unsustainable use of water resources are leading to their rapid depletion, threatening the availability of quality drinking water.

DETERIORATING HEALTH

One of the major factors leading to deterioration of health is the consumption of contaminated water. This can lead to an increase in the number of diseases among the population, weakened immunity in children and adults, increased incidence of acute respiratory infections and acute respiratory infections in the off-season, allergies and even cancer.

CHRONIC DEHYDRATION

Chronic dehydration of the population is a serious health problem, as all organs and body systems can suffer from it.

It is important to realise that not having enough water in the body can lead to cell dehydration, low blood pressure, and impaired heart, kidney and digestive system function. In addition, dehydration can lead to impaired thermoregulation, deterioration of the skin and mucous membranes, headaches, weakness, decreased concentration and impaired memory.

Causes of chronic dehydration can include insufficient water

intake, alcohol consumption, intense physical activity, hot weather, use of diuretics and other medications, and certain diseases.
